Adam Gidwitz is back to talk about his new novel (a World War 2 era spy novel for kids) but so are snack time, story time, and all the other nonsense. Well, those things are just back back, not back to talk about Adam’s new novel. Anyway, you get the idea. Happy listening!
Nabisco stopped making my favorite type of Oreo: Latte Thins. I am a fan of thin Oreos, and with the latte cream, mmmmm. I also love the Mint Thins, but you can't go wrong with regular!
On the story: I feel like the antagonist needs to be identified. Are there multiple antagonists? Is Spence Leonard's antagonist and the Bangles are Spence's?
I also want to know what Spence is looking for. So far, we know that Spence belongs to an acting troupe and is mysteriously disappearing. We've discovered why that is, but we still don't know why he is on a quest, what he is looking for, and why the quest is so important to him and the Bangles. If the sock was decided to be the actual object during this episode and I missed that, I apologize.
I liked Graeme's idea that there are multiple objects, but I think that you need to keep in mind the fact that there are only about nine episodes in a season. If there are multiple objects, and with slow medieval travel, it might take too long to find the right object.
Really enjoying this new segment! I hope that this post is helpful.
Tell Adam he will solve several of his life problems by... wait for it... READING Gulliver's Travels 😂 (I got the origin of the word right bc I read it in college!)
I totally agree about the top four oreos. The lemon and mint is awesome!
Also, maybe Spence is looking for the Holy Grail? (Trying to help King Arthur?) (Also, there's Merlin to enchant the golden socks)
The thin mints (not Girl Scouts 😂) are my FAVORITE
By the way, Adam came on last on the threeth point eighth episode

The chocolate covered oreos were the best, especially frozen!
I have a mini bernadoodle too, and he is DEFINITELY dopey and goofy, and adorable!! Good choice, Adam Gidwitz.

The peanut butter pie Oreos are NOT a disappointment, David! Our family exclusively eats that variety. So delicious!!
