Yay!!! So excited!! I’ve heard that Jack Zulu was a tv show idea before it was a book idea. How long did it take to realize it was perfect for a fantasy series? Were the characters any different when it was intended for a tv show? Great job on Jack Zulu! :)
For SD Smith: Do you intend to write a sequel to "Prince Lander and the Dragon War"? (The book was SO good but I felt at the end that I'd really love some more. 🙂)
Who is the Pilgrim in the Green Ember series? This has been bugging my family for a long time and we were not given any clues. Also, I agree that you should make a Dragon War sequel. We were left with a half rabbit half dragon monster running around in the end.
And who is the PilGreame? Is he someone from the golden age who was outcast for loyalty to the crown when he discovered the plot to kill Jupiter? Is he the Lady of the Glen's husband? And if the Lady of the Glen had access to the Blue Flower, why didn't she use it sooner and help the Cause?
Right. I haven't read the books lately so I'm a bit rusty on the lore. My apologies to all the fans who had read the books more recently. Keep guarding the lore and some day when S. D. Smith expands on the story we can start arguing with the Tolkien fans who did a better job. (personally I would love for Mr. Smith to expand on the story but I don't think he could ever quite match up to Mr. J.R.R. Tolkien. But don't tell Sam because then he may not even try.)
Is the Pilgrim one of the original Leapers? Or one of the seven Lord Captains? Except that Helmer didn't seem to recognize him . . . But he said he knew Helmer . . .
Could you please tell us what you think? Pretty please? If he does tell and you're wrong, we won't laugh . . . (okay, but I don't promise not to debate your theory.)
It was understandable. That was what Helmer wanted. Besides, it was glorious. (I'm maybe a little bit unfeeling for Picket). If he had survived, he would have felt guilty his entire life. (Not for S.D. Smith. For Elijah and Rachel and Katherine LeeAnn Cecelia.)
Can they play any of the Green Ember music they toured with?
YES PLEASE. We could make a song time for just the Smiths
Greta: What is your favorite Ice Cream Flavor?
Eliza: Why did you choose rabbits as your main characters for the Green Ember books?
Rachel: Helmer was my favorite character, who was yours?

Can you still turn into a TV show?
Would it be live action or animation?
I hope an animation.
I feel like an action would be cool. with like blood and stuff. PG for sure
But it would be pretty hard to avoid so please keep it to PG.
Or you could have everyone die behind a bush like they did in The BBC version of Redwall.
I mean I watched The Lord of the Rings at age 8 so I'm used to violence but most people need it to be more tuned down.
What gave you ideas for Mordok?
- Caleb
Why did you make Jack's dad a policeman?
- David
How much of your writing process was done together and how much was independent work?
- Moriah
Not a question but a segment. Sam and Graeme have to trade off West Virginia and Canada jokes until one laughs.
Here I’ll get you started:
Q: How do you recognize a West Virginian at a fast-food restaurant?
A: They’re the one ordering a deep-fried salad
LOLOLOL
For Jack Zulu: How did you go about inventing a language? Did you make some kind of dictionary for yourselves?
Where can I buy The Expert's Guide to Expert Guides: An Expert's Guide?
MOOSES with BAZOOKAS is probably the best book you've written, but did you write it?
For S.D Smith where did joe go. anna
It's spelled Jo; but what did happen?
When? Jo went places lots of times.
Do you mean what happened after Ember's End...?
Because there have been several Jo books since.
For SD Smith: Do you intend to write a sequel to "Prince Lander and the Dragon War"? (The book was SO good but I felt at the end that I'd really love some more. 🙂)
-Dinae (Din-ay), 12
Yes please. I think that I speak for all your fans that we would love for you to expand on the stories in the Green Ember world.
Also for S.D. Smith: Where did Prince Lander's sister Lucianne go (mentioned in "Ember Rising)?
-Dinae (Din-ay), 12
For Josiah: How did you discover your love of writing?
For both of them: who is your favorite Jack Zulu character? From Asa Moore
For both: Favorite classic books? (e.g. Narnia, Lord of the Rings, Tom Sawyer, The Secret Garden....)
-Vera
who was your favorite character to write about in the green ember series, and what character did you most relate with?
For S.D Simth, have you ever had trouble bearing the fame?
Who is the Pilgrim in the Green Ember series? This has been bugging my family for a long time and we were not given any clues. Also, I agree that you should make a Dragon War sequel. We were left with a half rabbit half dragon monster running around in the end.
Yes. Immerse your self in the lore.
Jupiter is the Lady of the Glen's husband. :) Just for clarification

I'd still argue on the Tolkien side. No one can do better than he did.
True... but I know that Mr. Smith really loves Tolkien... and he did a decent job of following him up.
Apology accepted.😉
Second question unlikely... being that he had never met Helmer or anyone else from First Warren.
Which Question?
The one about whether the pilgrim was an outcast.
OH! Got it!
I think Helmer did not recognize the Pilgrim, but he recognized Helmer.
Could be... but didn't the Pilgrim agree that they hadn't met? (I may be wrong, but I think that's what it says...🙂)
Wait, I'm looking it up.
Okay, you might be right.
He shook Helmer's hand and smiled at him with his head cocked sideways. "Helmer, is it?"
"It is, sir," Helmer said, . . .
"Have we met before, my lord?" Helmer asked.
The Pilgrim Grinned. "I'm no lord, Helmer there. And no, we haven't ever met. But you remind me of an old friend."
I am sorry for contradicting.
That's fine, I haven't read it in a while either.😊
Is the Pilgrim one of the original Leapers? Or one of the seven Lord Captains? Except that Helmer didn't seem to recognize him . . . But he said he knew Helmer . . .
Yes, I always wanted to know that. (Though I have a guess...😉)
I doubt he'll tell though.
Could you please tell us what you think? Pretty please? If he does tell and you're wrong, we won't laugh . . . (okay, but I don't promise not to debate your theory.)
Ok, ok.😊
My sister is to blame for this if I'm wrong, not me - she came up with it.
(Just kidding...😋)

Why did Helmer have to die?
Why couldn't they have just shot a flaming or blastpowder arrow at the dam?
Good point.
Exactly.
The case I have been arguing for years😄😄
It was understandable.
Yes, I agree, but I still feel like he ought to have seen what happened after the war was over.😞😞
