Yay!!! So excited!! I’ve heard that Jack Zulu was a tv show idea before it was a book idea. How long did it take to realize it was perfect for a fantasy series? Were the characters any different when it was intended for a tv show? Great job on Jack Zulu! :)

Not a question but a segment. Sam and Graeme have to trade off West Virginia and Canada jokes until one laughs.

Here I’ll get you started:

Q: How do you recognize a West Virginian at a fast-food restaurant?

A: They’re the one ordering a deep-fried salad

Who is the Pilgrim in the Green Ember series? This has been bugging my family for a long time and we were not given any clues. Also, I agree that you should make a Dragon War sequel. We were left with a half rabbit half dragon monster running around in the end.

And who is the PilGreame? Is he someone from the golden age who was outcast for loyalty to the crown when he discovered the plot to kill Jupiter? Is he the Lady of the Glen's husband? And if the Lady of the Glen had access to the Blue Flower, why didn't she use it sooner and help the Cause?

Right. I haven't read the books lately so I'm a bit rusty on the lore. My apologies to all the fans who had read the books more recently. Keep guarding the lore and some day when S. D. Smith expands on the story we can start arguing with the Tolkien fans who did a better job. (personally I would love for Mr. Smith to expand on the story but I don't think he could ever quite match up to Mr. J.R.R. Tolkien. But don't tell Sam because then he may not even try.)

Becca's avatar

I'd still argue on the Tolkien side. No one can do better than he did.

He shook Helmer's hand and smiled at him with his head cocked sideways. "Helmer, is it?"

"It is, sir," Helmer said, . . .

"Have we met before, my lord?" Helmer asked.

The Pilgrim Grinned. "I'm no lord, Helmer there. And no, we haven't ever met. But you remind me of an old friend."

I am sorry for contradicting.

It was understandable. That was what Helmer wanted. Besides, it was glorious. (I'm maybe a little bit unfeeling for Picket). If he had survived, he would have felt guilty his entire life. (Not for S.D. Smith. For Elijah and Rachel and Katherine LeeAnn Cecelia.)
