Millie, love that advice for young writers! So true! There’s a lot of unnecessary shame about not finishing a project (which can certainly become a bad habit with adults but isn’t always a bad idea). Creativity is prodigal like a waterfall, more just a way of looking at the world more than about a discrete product. And any product is going to be like an iceberg with only a small sliver visible.
Also side note for Graeme, when listening to the Spence Barringer story and you guys were describing what they looked like, my son shouted out loud that they were all animals. 😆
He thought Spence was a friendly looking badger, he thought of Marcello as a devious weasel.
When I was first taking Geometry during Prealgebra, I partly disliked it because I'm not great at spacial reasoning, but mostly because I wanted to be like Anne.
You should have Jennifer A Nielsen--author of books like Words On Fire, Rescue, A Night Divided, and a whole lot others. And also please have Brandon Sanderson on, mostly for his middle grad novel series Alcatraz vs. the Evil Librarians, and also for his book Tress of the Emerald Sea.
Once my mom accidentally uttered the phrase "Pigment of your imagination" Accidentally. My dad was determined to find a joke where that's the punch line. Here's what he came up with: "She thought she had discovered a new color, but it turns out it was just a pigment of her imagination." When I heard your joke I though of that.
Side note I have tried Churroreos (They totally should have named them that)
